Birdwatching & nature photography holidays in Gibraltar, Spain & Morocco
A V I A N T O U R S
Experience Gibraltar from a natural history perspective!
Gibraltar is rich in history, a 200 million year old Jurassic piece of limetone rock, mostly covered in dense Mediterranean low maquis habitat and some garrigue, with some 350 flowering plants, some of them endemic and over 315 species of birds known to have occured, with a large porportion of them recordable during different months of the year. There are five species of lizard in the nature reserve, six snakes and an amphisbaenian. Add to that it's own unique British-Spanish twist, the 'Spaniglish language' talked but many Gibraltarians, its numerous tourist sites, rich history, mild winters and sun-baked springs, summers & autumns, is more than enough reason to justify a visit and experience Gibraltar's wildlife lead by our guide, Andrew Fortuna.
